Fairly clean property, hard-working and extremely helpful staff. A wide range of options for very tasty breakfast. Recently renovated rooms with central heating, TV, and coffee/tea making equipment, comfy beds.

Breakfast buffet style excellent. Best thing in the hotel was the staff. Really friendly and welcoming.
No fridge and no safe - but it is a 2* hotel so really can't be expected.

Breakfast good. Room clean and comfortable. Good value hotel.
Shower door seal missing - whilst running shower, water leaked all over bathroom floor. Shower soap dispenser set a bit too high up.

I had a really enjoyable stay at this good budget hotel. The staff were hard-working, had a great attitude. The location was unbeatable, not too far away from The Bars. It was a recently renovated and lovely property in a fairly nice area. Actually everything was fantastic, my next choice again in York.

Staff & breakfast 10/10
Single beds not very comfy, room was hot so had to use fan which was dusty,tv was faulty but staff sorted it straight away,we would have prefered a double bed room but none were available, think rooms could do with a freshen up with paint.

powerful shower, convenient bar area, pleasant dining hybrid
Rooms with cracked paint and worn-out fixtures!!! Poor soundproofing between rooms and inadequate heating. A little more attention to cleanliness in overlooked areas would be appreciated!!!

Breakfast was decent quality, English fry up, but nothing mind blowing
The room was very warm and it was difficult to open the window to let air in. There were very few plug sockets. It was a little bit cramped.
